For purposes of applicable data-protection law, UdoHive Ltd. may act as a data controller in relation to personal information for which it determines the purposes and means of processing.

When you create or maintain a Metys account, we may collect:

• Name
• Email address
• Account ID
• Authentication information
• Account creation information
• Login and account-status information
• Subscription or account-plan information

Where authentication is provided through a third-party authentication provider (for example Google), certain authentication information may also be processed by that provider. We do not intentionally collect passwords in plain text — passwords are stored only as a hash.

When you use Metys to search for potential clients or businesses, we may collect and store:

• Search queries and search criteria
• Location or geographic criteria entered by you
• Search date and time
• Search status and search results associated with your account
• Search and processing job information
• Usage information relating to your account
• Information necessary to calculate or manage your available searches / token balance

This allows us to provide the service, maintain your search history, manage your account, troubleshoot problems, and improve reliability.

Metys may retrieve and process information about businesses and potential prospects in response to searches. Depending on the search and available sources, this may include:

• Business or organisation name and description
• Business category and address
• Telephone number and website
• Social-media profiles and public business profiles
• Publicly available contact information
• Search relevance or scoring information
• Other publicly available business information

Some of this information may relate to identifiable individuals, such as business owners, employees, representatives, or publicly listed business contacts. Where such information constitutes personal data under applicable law, we treat it accordingly.

Metys does not represent that all information returned is complete, accurate, current, or verified. Users are responsible for using information obtained through Metys lawfully and appropriately.

If you choose to save a lead or prospect within Metys, we may store:

• Lead / business information and lead identifiers
• Information relating to the search from which the lead was obtained
• Date the lead was saved
• Information necessary to display and manage your saved leads

Saved leads remain associated with your account until you delete them or they are removed in accordance with our retention practices.

Metys may create internal records associated with searches and data-processing operations:

• Search-job identifiers and scraping / retrieval-job identifiers
• Processing status, start and completion times
• Errors or processing failures and search parameters
• Technical information required to complete a search

These records help us operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve Metys.

If you export information from Metys, we may maintain records relating to the export:

• Export request and export type
• Account associated with the export
• Date and time and export status
• Technical information necessary to complete the export

Where exported information contains personal data, you are responsible for handling that information in accordance with applicable privacy and data-protection requirements.

If you purchase a subscription or other paid service, we may process information necessary to manage your subscription and payment status, including account identifier, subscription plan, payment status, transaction reference, purchase date, renewal information, subscription status, and search / usage allocation associated with your plan.

Payment-card or banking information may be processed directly by our payment provider rather than being stored by Metys. Payment provider: Paystack. We keep only limited card metadata (for example brand and last four digits) to show “card on file”. We do not store full card numbers.

When you access Metys, we may automatically receive technical information necessary to operate and secure the service:

• IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
• Application information and access times
• Error information and security / diagnostic information
• Basic usage information

We use this primarily for security, troubleshooting, service operation, and performance monitoring.

Metys may use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, maintain sessions, remember preferences (for example light/dark theme), secure accounts, understand how the service is used, improve website performance, and detect abuse or suspicious activity.

Where applicable, non-essential cookies or tracking technologies will be used in accordance with applicable law and your choices. You may configure your browser to reject or delete cookies, although disabling certain cookies may affect functionality.

We may process information for the following purposes:

Providing Metys: create and manage accounts, authenticate users, perform searches, retrieve and process business information, display search results, save leads, provide exports, manage subscriptions, maintain search allocations, and provide customer support.

Security: detect suspicious activity, prevent abuse, protect accounts, investigate security incidents, and maintain platform integrity.

Improving Metys: identify errors, improve reliability and performance, understand how features are used, and develop and improve the service.

Legal and Regulatory Requirements: comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, protect our rights and property, and prevent fraud or abuse.

Depending on the circumstances, Metys may rely on one or more lawful bases recognised under applicable data-protection law:

• Performance of a Contract — where necessary to provide services you requested, such as creating your account, conducting searches, managing subscriptions, or providing saved leads.
• Consent — where consent is required, we will request it before carrying out the relevant processing. You may withdraw consent where applicable; withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing.
• Legitimate Interests — where necessary for legitimate interests such as protecting our platform, preventing fraud and abuse, improving reliability, maintaining security, and understanding performance. We balance these against the rights and interests of affected individuals.
• Legal Obligation — where required to comply with applicable legal or regulatory obligations.

Metys may obtain business and prospect information from external search and data-retrieval services. One service currently used by Metys is Serper. Metys may send search criteria provided by a user to such services in order to retrieve relevant search results. The information retrieved may then be processed by Metys and presented to the user. Where third-party services are involved, their own privacy policies and terms may also apply.

We do not represent that information obtained from external sources is necessarily complete, accurate, or current.

Metys uses artificial-intelligence technologies to process search information and help organise, analyse, score, or present potential business leads. Depending on the implementation, information may be sent to third-party AI or infrastructure providers to perform specific processing functions. These providers may process information on our behalf subject to applicable contractual, security, and privacy requirements.

Metys does not use AI to make decisions about your legal rights or similarly significant matters. Lead scores and other AI-generated information are assistive and are not a guarantee that a prospect is suitable, interested, legitimate, or likely to become a customer.

We may use trusted third-party service providers to operate Metys, including providers for:

• Cloud hosting and database infrastructure (for example MongoDB Atlas)
• Authentication (for example Google)
• Search and information retrieval (for example Serper)
• Artificial intelligence (for example Gemini)
• Payment processing (Paystack)
• Email delivery (Mailtrap)
• Analytics, security, error monitoring, and customer support

Third-party providers may process information only to the extent necessary to provide their services to us, subject to applicable contractual or legal requirements.

Some of our service providers may process information outside Nigeria. Where personal data is transferred across borders, Metys will take steps required under applicable Nigerian data-protection law (NDP Act 2023) to ensure that the transfer is lawful and that appropriate safeguards are applied.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against:

• Unauthorised access and unauthorised disclosure
• Loss, destruction, alteration, misuse, and unlawful processing

Depending on the type of information, measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption in transit, restricted database access, secure API credentials, monitoring and logging, backup and recovery procedures, security reviews, and role-based access controls. However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

If we become aware of a personal-data breach, we will take appropriate steps to contain, investigate, remediate, and notify affected parties and regulators where required by applicable law.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing Metys, maintaining account records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, preventing abuse, and complying with legal obligations.

Different categories may have different retention periods. For example:

• Account information may be retained while your account remains active.
• Saved leads may remain until you delete them or your account is deleted.
• Search records may be retained for service functionality, security, and operational purposes.
• Billing records may be retained for accounting, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Security and technical logs may be retained for a limited period.

We may retain certain information after account deletion where necessary to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, or establish or defend legal claims.

Subject to applicable law and relevant exceptions, you may have rights including the right to:

• Request access to personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion or erasure of personal information
• Request restriction of certain processing
• Object to certain processing
• Request portability of applicable personal information

Where account deletion is completed, we will delete or anonymise information that we no longer have a legitimate reason to retain, subject to legal, security, accounting, dispute-resolution, or other applicable retention requirements. Deleting your account may result in the permanent loss of saved leads, search history, exports, and other account-related information.

Metys is intended for business and professional use. Our services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children where such collection is prohibited by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Metys without appropriate authorisation, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Metys may display information about businesses and individuals obtained from publicly accessible websites, directories, search engines, business listings, social-media platforms, and other external sources. The appearance of information in Metys does not constitute an endorsement of the person or business.

When using information obtained through Metys, you are responsible for complying with applicable laws. You must not use Metys to:

• Circumvent applicable privacy laws
